The process included a one-on-one telephone approach to the leading players in the market on a no-names basis, to understand how Covid and the current economic and geopolitical factors had impacted the market, where the respective practices were seeing consolidation, the specific challenges in winning clients and how firms were meeting those challenges going forward.

The project was expanded to include a Candidate Engagement process on an NDA basis.  Trinity was requested to ascertain levels of interest and to fully evaluate against the brief.  Additional information obtained included details on levels of following and resources required by specific individuals if they were to contemplate a move.

Telecoms, to bring supporting juniors, and to continue to expand the firm presence going forward.

Trinity was instructed on an Executive Search basis and conducted a full map and analysis of the German market, including main players, size of practices, the differentials in remuneration and expectation between the German market and the UK market. In addition, due to Brexit and the changing legislation around creating a subsidiary, branch or a franchise overseas, candidates needed to be evaluated in terms of expectations of corporate structure and reward on a potential move.
Individuals were approached, briefed, and evaluated in accordance with the agreed search criteria. The project led to the successful hire of a lead equity Partner and two fixed share partners with supporting associates, from a local competitor.
